News for 9--08-2009

Huge WWE Name Considering Joining TNA
-- PWInsider.com is reporting that a "huge WWE name" is considering joining TNA. The person in question is Jim Ross.

His contract with World Wrestling Entertainment is set to expire at the end of the year and company officials have yet to offer him a new one.

It should be noted however that Ross is considering all of his options and joining TNA is very much a possible scenario he's taking very seriously. He could just as well stay in WWE though.

Look I liked JR ten maybe fifteen years ago but his time is drawing to a close. If he took a behind the scenes role I would have no problems.

Angelina Love rep responds to TNA release rumors, Talks possible TNA return

Michael Klyzub, the agent for Angelina Love (Lauren "Angel" Williams), attributes the entirety of her TNA departure to a miscommunication over her visa.

"This separation was purely based on a miscommunication of Angel Williams present Visa Status. This in no way has anything to do with Contract Disputes or trouble with the office as has been reported," wrote Klyzub in a MySpace Blog.

He noted that Williams will be welcomed back to TNA "with open arms" when the visa issue is resolved.

Seemingly in response to online rumors that Williams is on WWE's radar (she had previously worked under a developmental contract), especially given the fact that WWE heads to her native Canada next week, Klyzub said he "cannot and will not address" speculation. He did claim that "most of what is on the internet is inaccurate."

Like I said,I'd love to see her back. She is a strong talent

Jeff Jarrett Calls Kurt Angle The "Best Ever"
-- Despite an apparent real-life feud, Jeff Jarrett noted Kurt Angle as the best in-ring performer in the history of the wrestling industry during a media appearance in Australia over the weekend.

"He doesn't have a peer in this business for his ability once the bell rings," Jarrett said. "From bell to bell I think he may be the best this business has ever produced."

Dunno if I agree with the statement but I will say Angle is in the tops. What I really respect is that despite issues with each other,Jarrett will give credit where its due

Details on a Backstage Altercation Between Two WWE Giants Over the Weekend

- The full details on this story haven't emerged yet, but two of WWE's biggest superstars, The Great Khali and Big Show, reportedly had an altercation backstage at a SmackDown/ECW live event on Saturday.

The main event on the show featured Matt Hardy, The Undertaker and Khali vs. Big Show, Chris Jericho and CM Punk. When the match ended, Show and Khali brawled outside of the ring together. When they got backstage, there was apparently an argument. One story said Khali botched the finish and Show called him out on it and they started grappling around.

One source said, "Show slipped on someone’s bag and it was over." Another report said that after they ended up on the ground, Khali mounted Show and was hitting him with slaps before The Undertaker pulled them apart. Show and Khali were kept away from each other in the ring for the rest of the tour. (Source - F4W Newsletter)

In an update to my earlier post, the weekend scuffle between The Big Show and The Great Khali was the talk of the RAW locker room last night.

The Big Show feels certain moves should be exclusive to him given his "giant" tag and there has reportedly been underlying heat between the pair for some time.

As for the incident, Show threw the first punch which was blocked by Khali, then the two went at it until several wrestlers broke it up. As I said earlier, the pair were kept apart for the remainder of the tour.

According to several wrestlers, they believe the blame lies on The Big Show's shoulders for this incident. (Source - PWInsider.com)

Upon arriving backstage, The Big Show reportedly threw the first punch as one source described it. Khali blocked it (in what some described as the same exact way he does it in the ring) and the two began fighting. Show then slipped on something and went down leading to Khali jumping on top of him. At this point several wrestlers including The Undertaker broke it up and the crew was ordered at that point to keep them apart of the rest of the tour in Puerto Rico. For what it is worth, Big Show was seen as being at fault for the fight among the wrestlers as we noted earlier.

Look you can play he said she said all you want but if it's true that Show started this whole thing he should know better seeing as how he has more ring time under his belt than Khali.Show has to realize that he's not the only "giant" and Khali is limited in what he can do any way.Show is by far more athletic and he should be the one expanding his repertoire

Ex-WWE Star Arrested
-- Sean Haire, AKA "Sean O'Haire" was arrested in Savannah, GA for two misdemeanors of Battery and Criminal Trespass on Sept. 6, 2009. He was released on $4,600 bail.

This guy had so much potential and now look at him,I wonder what "Sarge" Dwayne Bruce, his trainer,is thinking?

Former WWE Star 'Lita' Dating CM Punk In Real-Life
Despite proclaiming in a number of interviews that she wants nothing to do with World Wrestling Entertainment, Amy "Lita" Dumas has been peculiarly backstage at a few shows in recent months. The reason for this is because the former WWE Women's Champion is involved in a romantic relationship with CM Punk.
The following e-mail was sent to www.declarationofindependents.net by a current WWE wrestler who for obvious reasons, wishes to stay anonymous:

"Hey Mic, just wanted to let you know that CM Punk & Lita are currently dating which is why Lita has been backstage at many WWE shows as of late. I don't know how they met or connected, but they are dating and you can confirm it with anyone you want."

Okay so yeah both Matt Hardy,Edge and quiet a few luchadores may have ran the train on old Lita and now it's Punker's turn but you know what...I applaude him...why,because he's doing something most of us have only dreamed of,and you know what...I'd step in line right behind Punk...BOO-YAH!!!

A Monday Night Raw taping is scheduled to take place at the Verizon Arena at Little Rock, Arkansas that evening. "My last day at WWE is officially Mon, Sept 21st," Garcia wrote.
